Hi everyone, this is my first post here
I'll be honest, im not even sure i have a kidney stone or not, which is why im posting. ive never been to a doctor or hospital because im agoraphobic, and ive been in pain for many Months now, writing it off as ibs pain, the pain is mostly in my right lower quadrant but it shifts across my whole abdomin sometimes. over the past 3 weeks it's gotten sharper on my right side, but not where the apendix is, its more on the side where my love handle is (not sure of the proper term), and in that spot its firm to touch and really painful. over the last week ive also had a dull ache in my lover back, and since yesterday ive been getting sharp shooting stabing pains, like a knife or an electric shock, behind my pubic area. is any of this normal for kidney stones, especially the pubic pain, because thats what's scaring me most. I also get burning pain on the right side of my abdomin, and when im in bed trying to sleep, lying on my left side feels like the right side is getting crushed, really bad and dull. any advice would be appreciated, thanks, oh and im 46m btw,

First bit of advice... see a doctor. I promise the worst thing you can do is skip getting a medical professional's opinion. If a kidney stone is blocking you, you can end up with sepsis and worse. Even a useless doctor like mine, who just tells you to take OTC for something that should land you in the hospital, is better than nothing. My advice, in this order: 0. Get a medical professional's opinion 1. Drink water and keep yourself hydrated 2. Grab some OTC stuff since it's better than noth...
Also, since I looked up your condition, have you thought about talking to a therapist about the phobia? If being stuck in a small medical office is the issue, would a telehealth visit work instead?
Thanks for the reply. ive started drinking plenty of water and added lemmon juice to it. unfortunately my agoraphobia isnt a fear of small offices, its a fear of leaving my home. ive not left the house in a year now, so a doctors or hospital visit really isnt an option. if it is a stone, hopefully I'll pass it at home,
